SAPA Message on COVID-19

Dear SAPA Members and Friends,

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a tragic impact on human health and is still rapidly
evolving worldwide. As a professional organization, SAPA has made and will continue to make
best efforts to participate in fighting the outbreak. We have presented educational webinars by
the renowned scientific experts and organized the coronavirus relief efforts to aid the health
care professionals in China. The pandemic has now affected most countries in the world,
including our communities in the US. We are closely monitoring the situation and are prepared
to make every effort possible to protect our communities.
The safety and well-being of SAPA members, families, volunteers, sponsors and friends are our
top priorities. In light of the recent development and the guidelines from the state and local
authorities, we have decided to cancel or postpone several SAPA events, originally planned in
the months of April to June. In the next few weeks, we will continue to evaluate the path
forward, and may change some of the events to virtual format if feasible.
With a long successful history, strong membership and volunteer base, SAPA will continue to
grow and adapt. Despite the unprecedented challenges that we are all facing, SAPA will
become a stronger and better professional organization. We would like to thank you for your
understanding and continued support, and will keep you posted on the next steps.
Stay safe and be healthy!
